Anthony Lasiewicki, Jr., age 80, of Caro, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. He was born on July 16, 1930 in Caro to the late Anthony and Sophia (Biesczcak) Lasiewicki. Anthony was a lifelong resident of Caro. He attended Caro High School and joined the United States Navy during the Korean War. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he went to work at Saginaw Steering Gear where he continued until his retirement some 45 years later. On August 8, 1953 he was united in marriage with the former Ruth Schilk at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. Anthony enjoyed gardening and his family, as well as watching old westerns on television. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; five children, Dale (Janet) Lasiewicki of Caro, Marcia (Robert) Rabideau of Caro, Michael Lasiewicki of Caro, Mechelle Lasiewicki of Caro, and Ruth Ann Lasiewicki of Midland; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his siblings, Walter Jankowski of Quanicassee, Andrew (Roberta) Lasiewicki of Caro, John (Jane) Lasiewicki of Henderson, Nevada, and Patricia Collier of Swartz Creek; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Mitchel Jankowski, Edward Jankowski, and Delores Davidson. A funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Cameron Steele officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery with military honors following. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Anthony Lasiewicki, Jr. family discretionary fund, c/o Ruth Lasiewicki, 302 S.
