Carol Jankowski, age 74, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 13, 2006 at Covenant Harrison in Saginaw. She was born March 5, 1932 in Caro, the daughter of the late Carl F. Bernice (Campbell) Mantey. She graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1950. Carol was united in marriage to Norbert R. Jankowski on February 7, 1953 in Caro at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Carol was employed at Caro Ford Motors Sales for several years and later at Caro Community Hospital Admitting Office for nineteen years, retiring in 1995. She also was the bookkeeper for Stanleys Bakery for forty-one years and working as an election official for Indianfields Twp. for twelve years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Womens Council, the former Alter Society, the church choir, the K of C. Auxiliary and the D.A.R. Carol enjoyed collecting antique dolls and had an extensive collection, playing bridge with various bridge groups in town, making Pisanki Easter Eggs, traveling and skiing with family and friends. . Carol is survived by her husband, Norbert of Caro; three children their spouses, Stephan Louise Jankowski of Sandusky, Nancy George Travis, Diane Tom Sroka all of Troy; five grandchildren; two sisters their spouses, Helen Bill Young of AZ, Gretchen Al Amstutz of Beulah, MI and several nieces nephews.
