Cheryl Daniels, age 54, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 7, 2008 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti. She was born October 30, 1953 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Alton & Elizabeth (Peters) Curry, and was a lifelong area resident. Cheryl graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1972 and later graduated from the Saginaw Business Institute. Cheryl was employed by the Village of Caro for over thirty-three years in various office positions. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro, past President of Theta Rho Assembly of Michigan and a former member of the Rebekahs. Cheryl enjoyed crocheting, playing games, puzzles and being with her family and grandchildren. Cheryl is survived by three children, Brandon Daniels and his wife, Dawn, of Caro, Melissa Daniels and her fiance, Robert Proctor, of Reese, Colleen Daniels of Caro; her childrens father, Michael Daniels of Caro; five grandchildren, Andrew and Darien Daniels, Chase, Haley and Lexi Proctor; four brothers, four sisters and their spouses, Richard & Phyllis Curry of Tawas, Kimberly & Jerry Hawkins of Mesick, Charles & Margo Phillips of Harbor Beach, David & Shirley Phillips of Caro, Sandra & Jerry Vanderpool of Kingston, Wayne & Tammy Phillips of Caro, Janelle & Dan Dickerson of Cass City, Faye & John Miller of Unionville; many nieces and nephews and her step-mother, Mary Jane Phillips of Caro. In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by a brother, John Curry and her biological father, Chuck Phillips.
