“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4 Trudy passed away and went to be with her Lord on Memorial Day, Monday May 29th 2006 at age 68. She was privileged to be able to spend her last few days surrounded by dear friends and family at Caro community Hospital. She was born March 6, 1938 in Bay City. She was preceded in death by her father Lester, mother Margaret, stepmother Marvel, and brothers Clarence and Jack Stark. She is survived by her lifelong friend and the love of her life, Norman. Married in 1956, Norm and Trudy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 21st this year. She is also survived by their four children and their spouses, Lee and Mary Avery of Adelaide, Australia, Bryon and Sherrie of Caro, Terry and Mary of Bay City and Lisa of Caro. She was the precious Grandma and Nana of nine grandchildren, Ellen, Tyler, Gracie, Monica, Shawn, Matt, Danielle, Brent, and Alexis; and Great Grandma to Kaylee; two aunts, Esther Stoner of Clawson and Virginia Stark of Detroit as well as many nieces and nephews. Trudy lived in Caro most of her life and worshiped at the First Baptist Church where she served in many capacities: faithful member, financial secretary, choir member, and Sunday school teacher. She worked at the Caro Community Hospital from 1972, finishing there as Director of Materials Management until she was too ill early this year. During her time at the hospital, Trudy was always more than an employee working closely with the hospital auxiliary, the hospitals endowment foundation and playing an instrumental role in the development of the hospitals new facilities. She also served on the board of the Michigan Association of Hospital Auxiliaries. Norm and the children wish to express their thanks to the many friends who have prayed for and supported Trudy and the family during her illness. It is their hope that all who have had contact with Trudy will have been touched by her love for Jesus, the One who gave her the strength to face the future. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, Gilford Rd., Caro on Wednesday, May 31st 2006 at 10:30 am with Pastor Ronald Wigand officiating. Entombment will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the Collon Funeral Home, 302 S. State St. from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and at the Church from 9:30 am until time of service at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, we would encourage those wishing to make an expression of sympathy to donate to the family discretionary fund c/o Norm Avery.
