Gladys Stout

Gladys Arneda Stout, age 86, of Mayville, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Caro Community Hospital. She was born Gladys Arneda Miller on October 1, 1922 in Silverwood to the late William and Isadora (Archer) Miller. Tiny was a lifelong resident of Mayville where she was a wife, homemaker and mother. The former Gladys Miller married Hubert Stout, and he preceded her in death. During the last year, while a resident of Fisher Senior Care and Rehab, Tiny has had a wonderful and fulfilling social experience. She is survived by her children, Lyle (Jan) Stout of Mayville and Patricia (Roger) Hilgendorf of Millington; four grandchildren, Craig (Kerri) Stout of Lapeer, Mark Stout of Lapeer, Roxeann (Terry) Rouse of Mayville and Paget Spencer of Millington; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Caroline Grimshaw of Mayville and Joe Miller of Evart; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Hartman; one grandson, Rodney Sarles; and one great-grandson, Brandon Rouse. Following cremation, a private family remembrance will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation or service at the Collon Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Activities Fund.
