Walter Rozanski, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, February 15, 2010 following a lingering illness. Walter was born June 28, 1929, the son of the late Charles Rozen & Sophia Urbanczyk. He enlisted in the United States Army Air Force from 1947 to 1948, and worked for the Warren Consolidated Schools in the maintenance department for nineteen years, retiring in 1986. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Calloway on May 12, 1984 in Keego Harbor, and the couple cherished more than twenty-five years together, living in Michigan and Texas. Wally was a devout Christian, and was an active member of the Christian Center of Fort Worth and the Caro Assembly of God Church in Caro. While in Texas, Wally and Carolyn took part in food and clothing ministries and ministering to the sick. His love of others and Christ was also demonstrated as they took in eleven foster children in Texas. Wally is survived by his wife, Carolyn Rozanski of Caro; six children and their spouses, Wayne & Rose Rozanski of St. Clair, Carla & Allen Tacconelli of Mt. Clemens, Kelly Lynn & James Serton, Douglas Calloway of Rochester Hills, Doreen & Gary Hammond of Muskegon, Darrel Calloway of Texas; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Rozenski; many nieces, nephews and his spiritually adopted family, Bruce & Michelle Mullins and their children. Wally was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
