Adelbert Cross

Adelbert J. Cross, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at his home. He was born March 28, 1967 in Caro, the son of the late Adelbert E. & Lena Mae (Williams) Cross, and was a lifelong Caro resident. He graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1984, continuing his education at Michigan State University and later at Saginaw Valley State University. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro and was very active with the Caro Knights of Columbus Council #3224. A. J. was an avid reader and writer, and loved watching any kind of sporting event. He touched countless lives in Caro and North Branch as a coach in football, weightlifting and Middle School basketball for many years. Although A. J. never married, he was very involved with his family of four nephews and one niece in Caro, as both their special friend and uncle. A. J. is survived by two brothers, one sister and their spouses, William H. & Katherine Sandlin of Caro, Daniel W. & Eileen Sandlin of Chesterfield Township, Barbara L. & Phillip Millerov of Caro; four nephews and one niece, Sonnie Millerov, Bill Sandlin, Kristin Millerov, Tyler Millerov, Timothy Millerov and several dear friends and mentors that include Dave & Donna Klebba, Al Boydston and the Laventure family.
