Adelbert Cross

Adelbert Keith Cross, age 63 years, of Caro, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007 at Bay Regional Health Center, Bay City. He was born on January 15, 1944 in Caro and was a lifelong resident. Keith was a Caro High School graduate. He had been employed for years at Thumb Laundry and then at the Caro Regional Center until his retirement. Keith Cross and the former Ella Sue Hess were married on July 15, 1977 in Caro. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2003. He enjoyed camping, fishing and boating. Keith is survived by three children, Christy (James) Garcia, Robin (Randy) Smith and Keith Cross, all of Caro; ten grandchildren, Dakota Cross, Tavin Cregar-Cross, Jaron OKelly, Josefina Garcia, Jose Garcia, Somer Smith, Andrea Smith, Maya Smith, Justin Gomez-Cross and Jayden Garcia; his mother, Virginia Cross and Joe Banowski of Caro and Kingston; his siblings, Allen (Debra) Cross of Gagetown, Barb (Butch) Brown of Caro, Ruthie Kirk and Ernie Cramer of Fairgrove, Mary Jane (Jim) Clinesmith of Caro, Roberta (John) Bender of Caro, Sherry (Mat) Kolten of Port Huron and Eddie (Cheryl) Cross of Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; and his finance, Marge Spencer of Bay City. In addition to his father, Keith Howard Cross, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Smith; and two sisters, Faith Ann Cross and Beverly Jean. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Sanderfur of the Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating. In keeping with Keiths wishes, cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Adelbert Keith Cross family discretionary fund, c/o Keith Cross.
