Aerial "Midge" Cosens

Aerial "Midge" (Fox) Cosens of Akron, age 102, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at New Hope Bay Assisted Living Facility in Bay City. Midge was born March 18, 1915 in Wisner Township, the daughter of the late Floyd and Bertha (Brink) Fox. On December 12, 1935, Midge was united in marriage with Leon D. Cosens, and he preceded her in death. She was a faithful member of the Wisner United Methodist Church for many years. Her home cooking was well known by many people, from the "famous" raisin cream pies to the popcorn balls and candies. Left to cherish her memory are two sons and their spouses, Gary & Fern Cosens of Bay City, Norman & Janis Cosens of Akron; three grandchildren and their spouses, Tracey & Gerry Hunter of Jerome, Michigan, Eric & Rachel Cosens of Bloomington, Indiana, Rusty & Brandi Cosens of Akron; ten great-grandchildren, one sister, Eloise "Turk" Wiergowski of Akron; one brother-in-law, Charles Cosens of Akron; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers at New Hope Bay, Compassus Hospice, and Tuscola County Medical Care Community. Funeral services will be held at the Wisner United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Evan Oh and Rev. Jackie Raineri officiating. Burial will follow at Wisner Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Wisner United Methodist Church.
