Alan Thomas Powell

Alan T. Powell, 65 of Pigeon, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital peacefully with family by his side.

Alan was born July 27, 1955 in Cass City to the late Sanford and Rita (King) Powell. He graduated from Cass City High School in 1973. He married Cindy Hallock on September 18, 1999 in Ubly. He retired from Tower Automotive in 2014. He enjoyed camping, grilling, playing horseshoes, cards, and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his grandkids and his spoiled fur-baby Suzy.

He is survived by his wife Cindy; children Wendi (Chris) Bixman of Sebewaing, Tim (Aerion) Russell of Elkton, Jessica Roberts of Bad Axe, and Glenda (fiancé Charlie Blunt) Cregeur of Pigeon; 12 grandchildren: Keegan, Gage, Justice, Dylon, Logan, Elii, McKayla, Ashton, McKatlynn, Mason, Lexicia and Avery; sister Elaine Powell of Mt. Pleasant and brother Dennis (Linda) Powell of Cass City; sister-in-law Betty Powell of Cass City; and god-daughter Denise Hindenlang. He was preceded in death by his siblings Bill, Wayne, Roy and Karen.

A memorial service will be 3:00pm Friday, April 16th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Glenn Sokolowski officiating.  Visitation will be 1-3pm Friday at the funeral home.
