Albert Nelson Arnold

Albert Nelson Arnold of Caro, age 93, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Hills and Dales General Hospital in Cass City. Albert was born September 21, 1926 on the family farm, the son of the late Milton and Bernice (Henderson) Arnold, and was a graduate of Caro High School. He was united in marriage with the former Shirley Irish on October 18, 1947, and she survives. Albert was a self-employed farmer, starting out early in life farming alongside his father. After his retirement, Albert was proud to pass down the family farm to his own sons, Keith and Neil. In early years, he enjoyed deer hunting in the U.P. and traveling to Florida for over thirty years. He was a member of the Watrousville United Methodist Church. Albert is survived by his loving wife of seventy-two years, Shirley Arnold; three sons and their spouses, Alan Arnold & Lori Weidman of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Keith Arnold of Watrousville, Neil & Patty Arnold of Caro; two granddaughters, Courtney and Melanie Arnold; two grandsons, Joseph & Katie Hodge, Jacob Hodge & Kristi Coultier; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Grace Hodge; one sister, Ruth Johnson and her husband, George McParlan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beth & Leonard Russell. In keeping with Albert's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 with Rev. Michele Hile officiating.
