Albert Lee Lord

Albert Lee Lord of Caro, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at his daughter's home in Davison, following a brief illness. He was born December 3, 1949 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, the son of the late Robert and Priscilla (Swick) Lord. Al was a 1968 graduate of Caro High School, and then earned an Associate's Degree in Business from Ferris State University. He loved helping people with taxes and served the area as a licensed tax preparer in addition to his work as a purchasing supervisor at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro for nearly ten years. Al thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, and was a member of the Polish American Club in Caro. He was also a faithful volunteer at the Caro VFW and American Legion Posts for their Bingo games, and if he wasn't working, he was playing. Al is survived by three children, Heather Lord of Davison, Jennifer (Jeremy) Foster of Mesa, Arizona, Justin (Rebekah) Lord of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Brittney, Caleb, Dylan, Czaria, Colton, Caden, Corbyn; seven siblings, Patrick (Linda) Moore of Mesa, Arizona, Alice Keilitz of Caro, Robert (Sandra) Lord of Flint, Carol Lord of Clio, Paul Lord of Caro, Victor Lord of Saginaw, Charles Lord of Saginaw; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Arthur Lord and Mary Kinyon. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Ellington Township Cemetery.
