Albert Schulze

Albert F. Schulze, age 90 of Pigeon, passed away March 22, 2016.
Born in Pigeon on September 28, 1925, he was the son of Fred A. and Frieda Marie Anna (Trost) Schulze, and graduated from Cross Lutheran School. On March 3, 1951, he was united in marriage to Shirley B. Oesch at Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon. She preceded him in death on January 21, 1995.
Albert farmed throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed hunting deer and turkey while at hunting camp in Spratt, near Alpena, and enjoyed being with friends and family. He also enjoyed cooking at the camp, as well as for several other special events through the years. Many years ago, Albert served on the Cross Lutheran Church School board. He was a member of Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon.
He is survived by three sons, Kenneth Schulze, Steven (Patricia) Schulze, and Gene (Maria) Schulze; a daughter, Suzanne M. Schulze all of Pigeon; four grandchildren: Brenda (Mark) Kretzschmer, Matthew (Danielle Corp) Schulze, Jessica Schulze, and Amanda Schulze; step-granddaughter, Christy Bresky; five great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Jacob, and Zachary Kretzschmer and Savannah and Sawyer Schulze; and a sister, Erna Reed of Port Huron. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and a brother, Alfred.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon, with Rev. Timothy Loehrke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cross Lutheran Church or School.
