Alice Bauer

Alice M. Bauer, age 91, of Sebewaing, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe following a two week illness.

She was born January 14, 1923 in Sebewaing daughter of the late George and Clara
(Zarnke) Loeffler.
She was united in marriage to Frederick T. Bauer on April 15, 1955 in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.

Alice had been employed at Defoe Shipyard during World War II and later at AC Spark
Plug and then at Michigan Milk Producers Dairy in Sebewaing for several years.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed card playing, word find and doing crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Fred; 2 sons, one daughter, James (Renee) Bauer, Mark Bauer, Carol Heidt all of Sebewaing; 4 grandchildren, Steven Heidt, Allison Heidt, Nicole Bauer and Lexi Bauer; also one sister, Virginia Hoagg, Sebewaing; aunt,
Emma Zarnke, Pigeon, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald and Robert Loeffler.

The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Rev. Michael Boyer will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3 to 8 p.m. on Monday. She will lie in state at the church from10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of
service.
