Alice Bowden

Alice Bowden, age 88 years, of Caro, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at her residence while under the care of Hospice of Hope. She was born on August 14, 1920 in Neillsville, Wisconsin, where she graduated from high school. Alice moved to the western side of the state and worked at the Twin City Container Company in Coloma while raising her family. After she retired, she moved to Apache Junction, Arizona, then to Maple Grove, Michigan and eventually to Caro. Alice enjoyed crocheting and early morning housecleaning. She was a follower of Jehovahs Witnesses. She is survived by her children, Rose Ann Saffel of Grand Junction, James Bowden and Pat Vargo of Caro, Julius Bowden of Nevada and Dave (Emma) Bowden of Grand Junction; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Esther Goldamer of Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Thomas Bowden, Jr. Per Alices wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.
