Alice Marie Kastraba

Alice Marie Kastraba of Caro, age 90, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community. Alice was born June 19, 1929 in Pontiac, the daughter of the late James & Helen (Spencer) Green. She was united in marriage with Alex Kastraba on June 17, 1950 and celebrated forty years of marriage prior to his death on July 19, 1990. Alice was a member of the Colwood United Brethren Church in Caro and enjoyed baking and tending to her flower garden. She was a woman of selfless spirit and gave limitlessly to family and anyone in need. Life for Alice revolved around her children and grandchildren of whom she was abidingly proud. Left to cherish her memory are six children and their spouses, Helen & Harley Brock of Caro, Alex & Naomi "Dee" Kastraba of Aurora, Nebraska, Charlie & Sherri Kastraba of Caro, Kathy Johnson of Harbor Beach, Betty Ann & Terry LaFave of Caro, John Kastraba & Tina English of Caro; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Spencer of Missouri, Rosemary Jordan of Ohio; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Kay Kastraba. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Alice's granddaughter, Pastor Kelly Ball officiating. A private committal service will be held at a later date at Indianfields Township Cemetery on Walk Road in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Forget Me Nots of the Tuscola County Medical Care Community.
