Alice L. Leonhardt

Alice Louise Leonhardt, age 79, of Sebewaing, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe. Alice was born June 4, 1933 in Saginaw to the late Paul and Charlotte (Falk) Engelke. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Saginaw General Hospital until she married Frank A. Leonhardt on February 26, 1955 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1994. Alice enjoyed crafting, painting, camping, traveling, walking and going to garage sales.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Carol (Brian) Miller of Mineral Point, WI; her grandchildren, Chris Pobanz of Sebewaing, Jamie (Laura) Pobanz of Pigeon and Cory Hakola of Verona, WI; great grandchildren, Miranda Elenbaum, Kristen Elenbaum and Caleb Elenbaum; sister-in-law, Vivian Engelke of Saginaw; and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Engelke, Bill (Joyce) Engelke and Richard Engelke.

Visitation Friday, July 13 from 1-8pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

Funeral service Saturday, July 14, 10am at the funeral home, Rev. David Snyder from Trinity United Methodist Church will be officiating.

Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sebewaing historical society or the Sebewaing Chamber of Commerce (for the 2013 Sugar Festival Fireworks).
