Alice Mcelroy

Alice McElroy, age 96 years, of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born on November 12, 1912 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Chester and Nina (Simpson) Lamb. Alice was raised in Toledo and graduated from high school there. She had been employed as a bank teller with Toledo Trust for thirty years, retiring in the 1970s, and came to Caro to live at the Senior Commons in 1984. In her early years, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and always enjoyed her family and friends. She is survived by one son, David McElroy and his wife, Rhonda, of Dearborn Heights; two grandchildren, Richelle McElroy of Caro and Megan McElroy of Dearborn Heights. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service at the Collon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
