Alice Parsons

Alice B. Parsons, age 86, passed away on February 25, 2007 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper, following a brief illness. She was born on April 13, 1920 in Weston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Paul & Martha (Lashaway) Baker. She was united in marriage on October 30, 1937 to Howard J. Parsons in Caro. Alice and Howard owned and operated P & B Plumbing and Heating in Caro for 30 years, retiring in 1974. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, hunting, fishing, flower gardening and cooking. Alice is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Howard J. Parsons; one daughter and her husband, Joanne & James Willis of Frankenmuth; six grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Ann Hepfer, Brenda Dunham and Thomas Zawerucha, Jr., all of Caro, James Willis of Whitmore Lake, Jack Willis of Midpines, CA, and Jeffrey Willis of Bad Axe; six great-grandchildren; three sisters and their spouses, Ruby & Andrew Shudra of Sanford, NC, Pauline Bilicki of Detour, Christina & Albert Rickwalt of Newberry Springs, CA; a former son-in-law and his wife, Thomas & Lori Zawerucha, Sr. of Caro, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Margaret Laurel of Frankenmuth, Melvin & Connie Witkovsky of Caro, and Don & Joan Tomlinson of Caro. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Zawerucha in 1971, and by a sister, Garnet Robinson.
