Alice Elaine Trost

Alice Elaine Trost, 80, of Pigeon passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro.

Alice was born in Gagetown on January 26, 1944 to the late Norman and Susan (Ludwig) Adams.  On June 12, 1965 she married Marvin Trost at Cross Lutheran Church.  Alice was a hard worker, and juggled work on the farm with raising a family and also worked as a cook at Scheurer Hospital for more than thirty years.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling her family with her homemade cooking.  She was happiest when all of the family got together.

Alice is survived by her husband Marvin; children Cindy (Rudy) Siemen, Karen (Duane) Peterson, Mike (Laura) Trost, Mark Trost and Kevin (Lori) Trost; grandchildren Kyle Siemen, Justin Peterson, Jessica (Mike) Hass, Kacey Peterson, Alissa (Soufiane) Daoudiya, Kayla Blunt, Ryan Trost, Grace Trost, Jordan (Courtney) Trost, Nicholas Trost, Elly Hyzer and Zac Trost; sister Sharon Diebel; sisters-in-law Elaine Trost and Lou Ann Trost; brothers-in-law Hilmar Trost and Roger (Carol) Trost; four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sisters Madeline Verduyn, Betty Wagner, and Delores MacAlpine; sister-in-law Julie Parker; brothers-in-law Louis Verduyn, Elmer Wagner, Harold MacAlpine, Jerry Diebel, John Jerbi, and Donald Parker and niece Linda MacAlpine.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, January 13th at Cross Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 3-6 Sunday at Champagne Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial gifts may be made to Cross Lutheran Church or Cross Lutheran School.  The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hills in Caro and to the Hospice Care nurses for the wonderful care they provided.
