Alice Elizabeth Van De Mark

Alice E. Van De Mark, age 93, of Sebewaing, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018, at her home.

Alice was born September 19, 1925, in Sebewaing, to Andrew and Louise (Hafner) Gremel. After graduating from high school, Alice married Roy Van De Mark on June 28, 1947, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Alice worked in the payroll department at Sebewaing Industries. She enjoyed bowling, needlework, camping, fishing, traveling, playing the organ and baking.

Alice is survived by her children: Barbara (Frank) Gunsell of Sebewaing and Dr. Michael (Suzan) Van De Mark of Rolla, Missouri. She is the proud grandmother of James (Brandy) Gunsell of Sebewaing, Daniel (Angela) Gunsell of Livonia, Jason (Kimberly) Gunsell of Sebewaing, Audra (fiancé Matt Lehman) Anson of Missouri and Eric (Lauren) Van De Mark of Illinois; 7 great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Dillon, Devin, Savannah, Danny, Jr. and Hailey Gunsell, and Anika Anson; step great grandchildren: Katyanna, Benjamin, and Taylor. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 2012, and 2 brothers: Nelson (Nettie) Gremel and Delmar (Bertha) Gremel.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 4-8pm.

The service will be Friday, November 30, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Christ the King Lutheran School – Heating Fund, or the charity of your choice.
