Alice Webster

Alice Webster, age 77, of New Hudson, formerly of Prescott and Vassar, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at her residence. She was born on June 1, 1932 in Vassar (Fremont Township) to the late Walter and Bertha (Bader) Brown. The former Alice Mae Brown married Joseph Webster on May 24, 1948 in Grand Rapids. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2002. She had been employed in housekeeping at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Alice enjoyed gardening and looking after her plants, as well as playing shuffle board. She belonged to the Mayville Eagles. She is survived by her children, Gary and Joyce Webster of Fairgrove, Michelle and Michael Robinson of Prescott, Kim and Lyle Putnam of New Hudson; several grand- and great- grandchildren; three siblings, Nancy and Jim Andrew of Kingston, Donald and Linda Brown of Vassar, Mary Van Allen of Burton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Nelson; a son, Randy Webster; and a daughter, Pam Harroun. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Saulino officiating. Burial will be at North Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Alice Webster family discretionary fund, c/o Kim Putnam, 302 S.
