Allen David Nim

Allen D. Nim, 82, of Pigeon, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Scheurer Health in Pigeon.

Allen was born October 2, 1940 in Detroit to the late Kenneth and Mary Jane Nim. He graduated from Detroit Western High School.  He proudly served in the US Army in the Vietnam War.  He retired as a police officer from the City of Detroit, Third Precinct, in 1993 and moved to Pigeon. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting in Trenary at deer camp, fishing in the Detroit River and spending summers at his cottage near West Branch. His favorite past time was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Allen is survived by his children Andrew (Sherrie) of Mt. Pleasant, Aaron (Jennifer) of Clarksville, TN, and Allison of Ferndale; grandchildren Alexander, Alyssa (Noah), Breanna, and AJ; and siblings Kenneth, Maynard, and Judy. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2018.

No services are planned. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date.
