Allen Osborn

Allen Osborn of Manassas, Virginia, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Prince William Hospital in Manassas, Virginia. He was born April 17, 1962 in Caro, the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Mixter) Osborn. Allen was a Caro High School graduate and soon after completing high school he joined the U.S. Army where he served for three years. Upon his discharge, he enlisted in the U.S, Air Force and remained until his retirement, serving in Desert Storm. Upon his retirement from the military, he was employed as a military contractor, working as a helicopter repairman. In early years he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and attending club functions. He enjoyed returning to Michigan to hunt, and in later life he became involved in electronics, computers, and music. Allen is survived by two siblings, Janice M. Reed and Timothy Osborn, both of Caro; his aunts and uncles, Greg and Dee Mixter of Bad Axe, Jerry and Viola Mixter of Ruth and Ella Osborn of Columbiaville; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew; Jeffrey Burnham and brother-in-law, Louis Reed. A memorial service, under the auspices of Caro VFW Post #4164 and the U.S. Air Force, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery chapel in Caro with Dee Mixter officiating.
