Allen Ruppert

Allen Ruppert, age 65 years, of Chambers Road, Caro, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at St. Marys of Michigan, Saginaw. He was born on May 16, 1942 in Bay City, to the late Raymond C. and Helen (Gawlik) Ruppert. He was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County. On September 7, 1963 he married the former Mary Kay Hollister at the First Baptist Church in Caro. Allens entire working career was in automotive outsourcing, the last twenty-two years at Rochester Gear in Clifford. He was an out-of-doors person who enjoyed hunting, fishing and his garden. Allen is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Ruppert; his children, Brian (Julie) Ruppert of Chandler, Arizona, Barbara Davis of Caro, Ronald (Kathy) Ruppert of Birch Run; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his siblings, Clifford (Edith) Ruppert of Caro and Bonnie Sue (Jeff) Snyder of Cass City; several nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, twins Denise and Dennis; and a sister, Mary Jane Ruppert. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jerome Bouverette of Restoration Outreach Center officiating. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at Wahjamega Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Allen Ruppert family discretionary fund.
