Allen Joseph Sakon , 63 of Sebewaing, our loving husband, father, gramps, brother, uncle and friend passed away at his home surrounded by those he loved the most on May 5, 2023.

Allen was born on September 9, 1959, the son of the late Joseph and Rose "Cookie" (Mihacsi) Sakon.  He graduated in 1978 from Unionville-Sebewaing Area High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Lorrie Gainforth, on April 28, 1979.  Allen was a man of many skills and always said "If man made it, it can be fixed!"  He worked as a pin setter as a young man and later at Sebewaing Industries, before leaving to work at Bayside Best Beans.  After Bayside, Allen then worked at SC Johnson for 23 years doing maintenance machine repair, before retiring on his 62nd birthday.  He had a love for helping with his kid's baseball teams and working on their cars.  He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sports and spending time at the family pool. He was an old car enthusiast enjoying working on his 1966 Pontiac Lemans (his redheaded girlfriend.)  He enjoyed bowling, boating, fishing, golfing and motorcycles.  He also enjoyed making homemade wine.  Most of all he took pride in his wife, kids, grandchildren and his home.

He is survived by his wife Lorrie of 44 years; children: Jeffrey and Jodi Sakon and their children, Jenna and Jillian; David and Sara Sakon and their children, Blake and Evan; Lindsey and Andrew Irion and their children: Lydia, Madelynn, Hannah and Ruby; siblings: Diane (Roger) Finkbeiner, Karen (John) Thompson, II, Don (Shelly) Sakon;  brother in-laws: Scott (Gloria) Gainforth, Rod Gainforth, Lee (Jennifer) Gainforth, Rocky Gainforth; sister in-law, Roxane (John) Schlund; mother in-law, Marie Kindler.  He was also blessed with many special aunts, uncles, cousins nieces, nephews and good friends.
