Almeda “Chris” C. (Profit) Forster, 92, of Elkton went peacefully to be with her Lord Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Country Gardens Assisted Living in Pigeon. Chris was born on September 8, 1933, in Cass City, Michigan, to the late Glen and Ella (Helwig) Profit. On June 26, 1954, she was united in marriage to Roger Forster at the Fraser Presbyterian Church in Old Greenleaf. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2016. In her free time, Chris loved watching football, reading anything she could get her hands on, completing circle word puzzles, and was quite the roller-skater in her youth. She was devout in her faith, loyally attending St. Paul Methodist church and spending much time reading the bible and singing hymns. Surviving are five children, James (Zara) Forster of Cass City, Gary (Vickie) Forster of Sebewaing, Kurt (Shivaun) Forster of Boerne, TX, Crystal (Warren) Kappen of Cass City and William (Steffany) Forster of Elkton; grandchildren, Kiva, Shelley (Tom), Heith (Angela), Dustin, Nathan (Ana), Kyle, Brady (Taylor), Logan, Kiersten (Robby), and Amber (Kevin Haag); fifteen great-grandchildren and one more on the way; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister Donna Mae Sturm; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and countless friends.
Preceding her in death, her loving husband of 62 years, Roger Forster, sister Berneice Armstead, brothers-in-law Joseph Armstead and James Sturm, and nephew Joseph Armstead, Jr.
A funeral service for Chris will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 19, 2025, at St. Paul Methodist Church, 150 Main St, Elkton, Rev. Bill Eberly presiding. Visitation will take place from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, September 18, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, 7356 W. Michigan Ave. Pigeon, and at the church from 10:00am until the time of service on Friday. Burial is to follow at Riverside Cemetery in Elkton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to A&D Hospice or Thumb Animal Shelter.
