Almona Bradley of Caro, age 102, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. Almona was born May 25, 1915 in Caro to the late Almon and Gladys (Greenfield) Pierce, and was a graduate of Caro High School. She was united in marriage with Lee Turner of Caro in 1937, and he preceded her in death in 1969. She married Lorn Bradley of Caro in 1975, and he preceded her in death in 1981. Almona was employed as an account executive at the Caro Regional Center, retiring in 1975. She lived at Independence Village in Frankenmuth starting in 1995, and moved to Satchell's Christian Retirement Home in Caro in March of 2013. In July of 2014, Almona moved to Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. She is survived by one son, Gene Turner and his wife, Elizabeth Hurd, of Spokane, Washington; Gene's ex-wife, Patricia Turner; two grandsons and their spouses, Derek & Michelle Turner and their son, Andrew, of Louisville, Kentucky, Steven & Niccole Turner and their daughters, Lauren and Kirsten, of Weidman; one sister, Doris Smeckert of Frankenmuth; step-daughter, Barbara Drake; step-grandchildren, David Bradley, Denise & Terry Spraker, Douglas & Penny Bradley, John & Amy Drake, Paul & Elizabeth Drake; step-great-grandchildren, Erin, Elizabeth, Jace, D.J., Danielle, Helena, Madonna, Veronica, Theodore, Leo, Atticus, Tiruye, Norah, Tegegn, Rex and Sebastian; two step-great-great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ashton. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one sister, Jenny; one brother, Charles; one step-son and his wife, Dennis & Marilyn Bradley; and one brother-in-law, Lee Smeckert. In keeping with Almona's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Mark Melillo officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow at the Ellington Township Cemetery in Caro with Derek, Steven, Lauren, Andrew and Kirsten Turner, and John and Paul Drake serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
