Alvin Lacy Blankenship

Alvin Lacy Blankenship of Cass City, age 59, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his home. Alvin was born November 19, 1958 in Flint, the son of Mildred (Parsons) Blankenship and the late Elmer Blankenship. He was united in marriage with the former Rosemary Molina on September 14, 1978 in Flushing, and she survives. He was a self-employed mechanic: "if it had a motor, he could fix it." Alvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially for walleye, motorcycles, snowmobiles, playing guitar, barter and trading, and spending time with his grandchildren. Alvin is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Rosemary Blankenship, of Caro; children, Angela & Chad Dewald of Caro, Laura Shiel of Caro, Alvin Blankenship and Amanda Roberts of Caro; grandchildren, Jada, Trevor, Angel, Isaac, Aden, Molina and Ethan; mother, Mildred Blankenship; two sisters, Debbie & Chris McGlashen of Davison, Pamela Crafts of Flint. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Aaron L. Blankenship; and two sisters, Karen Smith and Sherrie Deskins. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Felix Caballero, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
