Amanda Lynn Urban

Amanda Lynn Urban of Flushing, age 42, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Amanda was born April 26, 1981 in Caro. She attended Caro Schools and served as a bartender in Caro and the Flint area for many years. Amanda loved working in the food service industry and made deep connections with her customers and employers alike. She was a naturally social person, but also enjoyed being home, watching crime shows or Judge Judy. Amanda was a loyal, ride or die friend to those lucky enough to be in her circle. At the bar, if her shoes came off, dancing or fighting was sure to ensue. Amanda had an adventurous spirit, was stubborn to the end, and was rarely wrong. Her fierce attitude, loving smile, and zest for life will be missed.

Left to cherish Amanda’s memory are four children, Alexis Dawn Urban of Flushing, Jordyn Huey of Flushing, Kamden Wilson of Grand Blanc, Jaidyn Wilson of Grand Blanc; her mother, Christine Tucker-Natale of Caro; siblings, Jillisha Urban, Ashley Urban, Alex Urban, Michael Gerhauser; a cousin she loved as a sister, Nichole McLachlan; best friend, Marina Ulrich; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Amanda was preceded in death by her son, Dylan Trey McFadden in 2017; and grandparents, David & Arlene Hempton and Richard & Jill Urban.

A celebration of Amanda’s life led by her family will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the family, c/o Nichole McLachlan, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
