Amelia Czelada

Amelia E. Czelada, age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was born May 10, 1926 in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Michael and Nellie Dudek. Amelia moved to this area in the mid 1940s. On October 24, 1942 she was united in marriage with Bernard Czelada in Wilmot. They owned and operated a greenhouse in Fairgrove and previously owned and operated a gas station and restaurant in the 1960s. “Em” was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting and entertaining. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Gloria Fruchey of Akron, Michael & Sue Czelada of Ludington, David & Karen Czelada of Lansing, Mary & Michael Findlay of Caro; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, “Dollie” Aymer of Fairgrove and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Constance Marie and Baby Czelada; four brothers, Joey, Steve, Connie and Donald; three sisters, Helene, Stella and Dolores; one great-granddaughter, Savannah; one grandson, Jason Winters. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Rosary recited Thursday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
