Andrew M. Lasiewicki of Caro, age 81, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Andy was born February 4, 1935 in Wells Township, the son of the late Anthony and Sophia (Biesczak) Lasiewicki. He was a Caro High School graduate and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Andy was united in marriage with the former Roberta Bednorek on October 8, 1955, and she survives him. After a few short jobs, he went to barber school and after his licensure he worked in Detroit and Saginaw. He then came home to re-open his father-in-law's barbershop which he operated for forty years until his retirement. Andy loved riding motorcycles, golfing, bowling, winter sports, and playing his classic 1966 Gibson guitar in a band with his wife and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa, and in addition to teaching guitar, he was involved in many woodworking activities. Andy was a member of St. Christopher Parish, and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Caro Council #3224 Andy is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Lasiewicki of Caro; two children and their spouses, Mark & Jo Lasiewicki of Richwood, Texas, Audrey & Dale Rieck of Caro; grandchildren, Amanda & Ryan Hennessey of Spring, Texas, Alex Rieck and Daniel Rieck, both of Caro; twins, Kieran and Colin Hennessey; brother, John & Jane Lasiewicki of Florida; sister, Patricia Collier of Owosso; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Davison; and four brothers, Anthony Lasiewicki Jr., Walter, Michell and Edward Jankowski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart site with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow at a later time at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Wilmot, with military honors afforded by the Caro American Legion Post #7 and the U.S. Navy. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
