Andrew Martinez

Andrew Martinez, age 56 years, of Tin Bill Road, Caro, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He was born on August 8, 1951 in Tuscola County to the late Cirilo and Pauline (Sturgis) Martinez. Andrew served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era. Since 1999 he had been employed as an assistance manager at Admiral, where he was known as “the man with the hat”. He enjoyed nature and the out-of-doors. Andrew is survived by two children, Janelle Martinez and Gregory Leahey, and their mother, Linda Leahey of Caro; his siblings, Jonathon Martinez of Watertown, S.D., Michael Martinez of Bad Axe, Cecil (Penny) Martinez of Watertown, S.D. and Leroy Ocker of Lake Orion; a special friend, John Howden of Reese; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Danny Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Carol Mills and Gloria Aguilera. In keeping with Andrews wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at the Collon Funeral Home.
