Andrew M. Schwalm

Andrew M. Schwalm of Caro, formerly of Warren, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. Andy was born April 19, 1939 in Detroit, the son of the late Andrew & Grace (Aliotta) Schwalm. He graduated from Southeastern High School with the class of 1957 and began service with the U.S. Army shortly after. Andy made his career as an advertising agent in the Detroit area for many years. He was an avid golfer and will be remembered as the life of the party, always ready with a great story or well-timed joke. Andy is survived by one son, David (Tammy) Schwalm of Mount Clemens; sister, Helena (Jeff) Montei of Fairgrove; two nieces, Jamie (Josh) Whalen of Fairgrove, Sydney (Eduardo) Pineda of Green Bay, Wisconsin; four great-nieces and two great-nephews; and many cousins. In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his stepfather, Henry Warda. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial will follow at a later date at Mentor Township Cemetery in Mio. Memorial contributions to First Tee-Greater Detroit or Michael J. Fox Foundation.
