Anita "Ana" G. Ertel

Anita "Ana" G. Ertel, age 64, of Sebewaing, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Ana was born in Pigeon on September 15, 1960 to Desiderio and Eusebia (Garses) Sanchez. She graduated from Lakers High School in 1978. Ana married Timothy Ertel on October 21, 1978 at Faith Gospel Tabernacle in Bad Axe. She worked as a loan officer for Thumb National Bank in Pigeon. She enjoyed camping, was an avid golfer, liked cleaning, baking Christmas cookies, making chex mix and salsa.

Ana is survived by her husband, Tim; 2 children: Ryan (Sarita) Ertel of Manchester, New Hampshire and Megan (Gordon) Gatza of Freeland; grandchildren: Edward, Rayna and Syan Ertel, Felina Tinacci, Finley and Marley Gatza; siblings: Di (Johnny) Gamboa, Amelia (Dave) Pelletier, Angie Emerson, Toni (Pat) Farmer and Ramiro (Geri) Sanchez; niece, April Rathje; and many nieces and nephews.

Ana is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Raymond and Nick Sanchez and Helena Garcia.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2pm-8pm.

The funeral service will be Thursday, February 20, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh). Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Pastor Thom Garrison will be officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or St. John's Lutheran Church.
