Ann "Debbie" Lapienski

Ann "Debbie" Lapienski of Caro, age 64, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Ann was born December 31, 1954 in Cass City, the daughter of the late John Chapelo, Jr. and Helen Jenny (LaDouce) Chapelo. She graduated from Reese High School with the class of 1973 and began her working career with the Walbro Corporation in Caro shortly after. She spent the next twenty years working with her daughter at Dr. Michael Misko's dental office in Caro as an office coordinator. Ann was united in marriage with Mardi Lapienski on September 29, 1979. She was a faithful member of the Living Waters Chapel in Caro. Ann was happiest caring for her home and family and will be fondly remembered for her unconditional love and ability to lift someone's spirits with a heartwarming card. She enjoyed baking, especially around Christmas, and was known to share her creations with countless friends and neighbors. Ann is survived by her husband of nearly forty years, Mardi Lapienski of Caro; three children and their spouses, Ashley & Ken Janson of Frankenmuth, Nicalas & Deven Lapienski of Grand Rapids, Mitchel & Nicole Lapienski of Marlette; two step-children, Charlie Lapienski of Kingston, Theresa Studer and her husband, Steve, of Fenton; five grandchildren, Dalton, Ashton, Tyler, Alex, Landen, plus an additional grandson expected in May; five siblings and their spouses, MaryAnn Pratt of Reese, Donna & Donald Roth of Caro, Sandra Kay & Larry Brooks of Vassar, Helen "Hud" & Art Randall of Bad Axe, John Wayne & Cathy Chapelo of Florida; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, "Package." In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by three siblings, George Chapelo, Richard Chapelo, and Darlene Bohm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Living Waters Chapel in Caro with Pastor Chuck Rondo officiating.
