Ann Rutterbush

Ann (Ertel) Rutterbush, age 63, of Henderson, Nevada, formerly of Sebewaing, MI, was called to her Heavenly home on November 25, 2021.  She was born on December 22, 1957, to the late Walter and Edla (Steele) Ertel.  Ann was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh, MI, down the street from her childhood home.  She married Jerry Rutterbush on September 24, 1980.  Due to Ann's health, they moved to Nevada in 1994 where she received her medical assistant degree and worked in various positions for as long as her health permitted.  In 2017, Jerry and Ann decided to pursue their dream of traveling the United States in a motorhome. During their travels, they visited 48 states until settling once again in Henderson to be close to their son and his family and to care for her advancing dementia.

Ann will always be remembered for her sense of humor, the way she would light up a room when she entered, and how she could make you laugh during every conversation.  She had a heart of gold and loved her family and lifelong friends.

Ann is survived by her husband Jerry, son Cory (Jamielynn) of Henderson, Nevada, grandson Cody, brother Tim (Ana) Ertel, sister Faye (Ken) Errer, sister-in-law Amanda Rutterbush and several nieces and nephews.  Per Ann's wishes, a funeral service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, Kilmanagh, MI, on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:00 with Ann's nephew, Reverend Joshua Errer, Green Bay, WI, officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John Fellowship Hall Fund or St. Paul Organ Repair Fund.

Ann's family would like to extend their thanks to her lifelong friends for their love, encouragement, and support shown to her throughout her life, especially in the past few years.
