Anna Rose Adams Kothe

Anna Rose Adams Kothe, age 100, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Hampton Manor in Bay City, under the wonderful care of McLaren Hospice.

Anna was born July 14, 1917, in Gagetown, to Peter and Anna (Keller) Leiterman. She married Elmer Adams on January 15, 1938; he preceded her in death on April 2, 1996. She then married Donald Kothe on June 2, 2001; he preceded her in death on December 13, 2015. She enjoyed helping her husband, Elmer, in their tiling business. She was a former member of St. Agatha Catholic Church, lived in the Sebewaing and Gagetown area her entire life, and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Anna is survived by son-in-law's: Joseph Chernavage and Harold Avery, Jr.; 3 siblings: John Leiterman, Katheryn Avery and Lillian Retzler; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Anna is preceded in death by her 2 husbands: Elmer Adams and Donald Kothe; children: Esther Chernavage, Elmer Adams, Jr., Dorothy Avery, and Merlin Adams; 7 sisters and 1 brother.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-8pm with an evening vigil service.

The funeral service will be Friday, March 23, 2018, at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Gagetown. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Agatha Catholic Church Cemetery Fund or the American Cancer Society.
