Anna M Bumhoffer

Anna M. Bumhoffer, age 81, of Elkton went to be with her Lord Friday morning, June 28, at Courtney Manor, Bad Axe.

She was born August 7, 1931 in Pigeon, daughter of the late John and Eva (Follman) Meininger. Ann graduated from Gagetown High School in 1949. In 1950, she had the honor of being crowned Tuscola County Bean Queen and went on to be Michigan Bean Queen.

On April 7, 1951, she was united in marriage to Edward A. Bumhoffer at New Salem Lutheran Church, Sebewaing. They made their home and raised their family in Elkton, where she devoted most of her time to being a wife and homemaker.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elkton, was a member and officer of Women of Trinity Ladies Society for many years and a member of the Elkton Women’s Extension Group.

Surviving are her husband, Edward; four children, Gary (Jody) Bumhoffer of Escondido, CA, Alan (Sharon) Bumhoffer of Elkton, Karen Bumhoffer of Phoenix, AZ and Diane (Dave) Milton of Elkton; six grandchildren, Tennille, Benjamin, David, Kate, Eric and Ryan; her sister, Marion Weltin of Cass City and brother, John (Agnes) Meininger of Gladwin and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkton. Rev. Rodney Schwab, pastor will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.

Friends and family may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday and at the church after 10 AM Wednesday.

Memorial gifts may be given to trinity Lutheran Church or the Oncology Dept. at Huron Medical Center
