Anna Richards

Anna Rose Richards, age 82, of Caro, formerly of Ferndale, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Rendons Young At Heart. She was born on March 20, 1927 in Highland Park to the late John and Anna (Neumann) Krach. Anna graduated from Hazel Park High School and attended Wayne State University. On March 24, 1945 she was united in marriage to Earl Richards. He preceded her in death in 1992. She was employed as a cashier for A&P and eventually as head cashier for Borman Foods (Farmer Jacks). Anna enjoyed sewing, gardening, cake decorating and was an avid book reader. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, belonged to Cass River Rebekah Lodge #488 in Tuscola, and had been a Girl Scout leader for 35 years while living in Ferndale. She is survived by two daughters, Judith (JonDee) Coulter of Bay City and Jennifer Richards (Gary Jacques) of Caro; two grandchildren, Katie Coulter of Northville and Sean Coulter of Bowling Green, Ohio; a great-grandson, Isaac Willaboughy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place and a private family remembrance will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation or services at the Collon Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Anna R.
