Annabelle Abke

Annabelle Abke, age 72 years, of Caro, died on Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. The former Annabelle Klein was born on October 23, 1933 in Tuscola County, where she resided much of her life. She attended Caro Schools, and in addition to being a mother and childcare provider, she was employed at Dibbles, Kays, Evenknit, Spauldings and Barrigars. Ann was a foster grandparent at the Mc Comb School and was known as Grandma Ann to all. She loved bird watching, Nascar and Tiger baseball. Ann was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (John) Bush of Saginaw; one granddaughter, Brice Bush of Saginaw; one grandson, Jonathan Bush of Saginaw; one sister, Betty (George) Abke of Caro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her biological family, she raised many children. She will also be missed by her lifelong friends, Esther and Carl Vaughan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her close personal friend, Virgil Wilson, in 1998; and the remainder of her siblings. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility and the 7th Floor staff at Saint Marys of Michigan. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Michael D. Wester of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Caro officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, National Mail Processing Center, P.O.
