Annabelle Diefenbach

Annabelle L. “PAL” Diefenbach, age 74, of Grant Twp. died Wednesday morning, August 21, at Scheurer Hospital, Pigeon.
She was born May 21, 1928 in Unionville at the home of her parents the late Arnold and Rose (Gotham) Hahn.
On April 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Gerald Diefenbach at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Unionville, they lived in Huron County all their married lives. He preceded her in death January 10, 2001.
Annabelle was a very active member of Faith Gospel Tabernacle, Bad Axe. Her church was very important to her, honesty; generosity and trust were her bye words. She enjoyed cooking and baking, reading and visiting.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathy (Tom) Skipinski of Washington; special niece, Mary (David) Jameson of Owendale; six grandchildren, Jenifer, Brenda, Brian, Devin, Jeremy and Tiffany; two, great grandchildren, Skylar and Samantha; her sister, Mabel (Art) Hase of St Clair Shores; two brothers, Larry (Lynn) Hahn of Sebewaing and Allen (Karen) Hahn of Unionville and many neices and nephews. Preceding her in death were a son, Gerald; four brothers, Arnold, William, Charles and Frank Hahn and five sisters, Donna Fritz, Arlene McCallum, Betty Wing, Mamie Taylor and Lorelei Holmes.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday August 23, at Faith Gospel Tabernacle. Reverends, Michael Beeler, pastor and James Willet will officiate with burial in Grant Twp. Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton from 2 to 9 PM Thursday and at the church after 10 AM Friday.
Memorials may be given to the church.
