Annie Marie Briggs, age 71, of Flint, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Brians House in Davison. She was born on April 17, 1939 in Caro to the late Percy John Snyder and Mary (Davis) Snyder Osborne. Annie was a resident of Caro during much of her early life and then moved to Flint. She was a mother and homemaker, taking occasional jobs in the service industry and nursing care. Annie was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan and enjoyed collecting Native American articles. She loved shopping, her flowers, television, and taping interesting shows. She is survived by her children, Bobby Jando of Flint, John Jando, Sr. and his wife Melodie Marshall of Flint, their father, John Jando of Caro; five grandchildren, John Jando Jr. and his fiance Miranda Murray of Flint, David Jando of Flint, Bobbie Lee Jando of Flint, Joshua Jando of Flint and Jacob Dungerow of Flint; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Kraszewki and Tori Jando; her siblings, Etta (Robert) Ayling of Mt. Pleasant and Jeff (Bonnie) Snyder of Lapeer; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky and Phillip Jando; and one brother, Percy William Snyder in 2001. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Wahjamega Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Annie M. Briggs family discretionary fund, c/o John Jando Jr., 302 S. State St., Caro, Michigan 48723.
