Anthony “Andy” Kolter age 84, of Caseville died Thursday morning, December 19, at Berti’s Nest AFC Home, Bay Port while under hospice care.
He was born February 23, 1918 in Detroit to the late Anthony and Mary (Wallace) Kolter.
On July 22, 1942, he was united in marriage to Patricia DeBeau in Baltimore, MD.
Andy served in the US Army during WW II as an M. P., guarding German POW’s. In the early fifties, he moved to the thumb area. He settled in Elkton in 1955, where he was employed at Active Industries. In 1979, he retired they and moved to Caseville. His wife preceded him in death September 16, 1996.
He was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville, the Knights of Columbus, Caseville-Pigeon and former member of the Caseville Eagles.
Surviving are his two children, Mike (Sue) DeBeau of Lapeer and Patricia Everett of TX; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and his brother, Edward Kolter of Bay City.
A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville. A Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will began at 7:00 PM Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Caseville where friends my call from 3 to 8 PM Friday and at the church after 10 AM Saturday.
