Anthony Norbert "Tony" Polk

Anthony Norbert "Tony" Polk of Akron, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Tony was born May 8, 1955 in Kinde, the son of the late Norbert and Johanna (Baranski) Polk. He was united in marriage with the former Barbara Bresky on July 28, 1984 in Port Austin and she preceded him in death on August 31, 2015 following thirty-one years of marriage. Tony was a truck driver for many years. He loved all sports including NASCAR, muscle cars, his Harley Davidson, with his favorite pastime being flipping through Auto Swappers. He loved telling stories of where he had traveled as a truck driver, and also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking. Tony was a hard worker and a loving husband, father, brother, and most important, a good friend and a great storyteller. Tony is survived by his son, Dylan Polk and his fianc Madison Gwizdala; his siblings, Ted & Carol Polk, Theresa & Russ Rumsey, Tim Polk, Tami & Tom Schulze. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Christine. In keeping with Tony's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
