Anthony "Tony" Allen Quick

Anthony “Tony” Allen Quick of Caro, age 63, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 surrounded by his family at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community. He was born on June 11, 1961 in Caro, the son of Allen and Arleta (Henschel) Quick. Tony graduated from Caro High School with the Class of 1979 and went on to earn his associate degree from Kirtland Community College. It was in high school he met the love of his life, the former Michelle Foley. The high school sweethearts were married on September 7, 1985 in Caro.

Tony spent several years working in construction before beginning a long and successful career as a salesman with Gerry’s Distributing, where he worked from 1987 until his retirement in 2021. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3224 and the Caro Moose Lodge. Tony had a big heart, a big smile, and a personality to match. He adored his pets and loved camping trips with his family. You could always find him out in the pole barn, tinkering away on a project with the music cranked up as loud as possible. He enjoyed watching movies, from old westerns to sci-fi flicks, it didn’t matter.

Tony was the most fun dad, known for his goofy sense of humor and having the best smile that would light up any room. He appreciated the simple things in life and took the most joy in being with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. His favorite thing to do was cook and barbeque, you never went hungry when Tony was around. You also never had to guess what was on his mind, as he would make it known. Tony’s love, goofiness, and simplicity will be forever missed by his family and friends.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of nearly forty years, Michelle; daughters, Brittney (Andrew) Hiser and Nicole (Chad II) Bennett; his “little peanuts”, Harper Hiser, Hallie Bennett, and Camryn Bennett; father, Allen Quick; brother, Mitch (Jodi) Quick; aunt & uncle, Midge & Dale Hall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Matt (Anne) Foley, Maureen (Jay) Tuckey, Mary (Brian) Montgomery, Marnie (John) Hacker, Mark (Jody) Foley, and Mitch (Maryann) Foley; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Arleta Quick; mother and father-in-law, John & Lillie Foley; several aunts & uncles; and he was reunited with his special and beloved furbabies.

A Celebration of Life will be held in open house fashion from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at the Caro Moose Lodge. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Cass River Pet FriendZ or the wishes of the family, c/o Michelle Quick, 205 West Sherman St., Caro, MI 48723.
