Ardella Mary Hall

Ardella Mary Hall of Caro, formerly of Higgins Lake, age 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living in Caro. Ardella was born October 28, 1926 in Eaton County, the daughter of the late Melvin and Mary (Halsey) Hosey.

Ardella was a graduate of Vermontville High School and on August 14, 1948, married the love of her life, George W. Hall, in Vermontville. Together, the couple built a warm and loving home in Caro where they raised their family and were active members of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Following George’s retirement in 1984, they relocated to Higgins Lake where they spent several wonderful years by the water. After George’s passing in 2010, Ardella returned to Caro.

In her later years, she made her home at Heritage Hill Assisted Living, where she found joy in socializing with friends and participating in activities alongside the facility’s compassionate staff. Above all, Ardella’s greatest joy and purpose in life was caring for her family, a role she fulfilled with wholehearted love and dedication.

Ardella is survived by four children and their spouses, Marta & Herman Respess of Caro, David & Sharon Hall of Alpena, Douglas & Lupe Hall of Caro, and Margie Cook of Stanwood; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, William Hosey and his wife, Marilyn; and sister, MaryLou Faust and her husband, Douglas. In addition to her parents and husband, Ardella was preceded in death by her son-in-law, James Cook.

Private interment will take place at the Lyon Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice in honor of Ardella.
