Arlene Keller

Arlene J. Keller, age 86, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro, following a period of declining health. Arlene was born April 20, 1926 in Detroit, as the oldest daughter of the late Olin & Joyce (Bailey) Louks, coming to Caro with her parents as a young girl. Arlene was united in marriage with J.D. Keller on August 30, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2003. Arlene was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church. She was employed at the J. C. Penney store in Caro for nearly twenty years and later at the Caro United Methodist Church office. Arlene enjoyed square dancing, listening to country music and doing needle crafts. Arlene is survived by three sons and their spouses, James & Elaine Keller of Wabash, Indiana, Mark Keller of Caro, Jeffrey & Tamimie Keller of Houghton; four granddaughters and their spouses, Melanie & Timothy Cupps of Fort Collins, Colorado, Michelle & Bradley Evans, Melissa Keller, Monica & Matthew White Keller all of Wabash, Indiana; five great-grandsons, Jeremy Keller, Jack Clifton, Tyler Copeland, Jacob White and Bryce White all of the Wabash, Indiana area; one sister, Dorothy Johnson of Caro and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Arlene was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, William and Gary Louks. In respect of Arlenes wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Caro United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gregg Mayberry officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Caro United Methodist Church Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro United Methodist Church, the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility or the Alzheimers Association.
