Arlene M. Swartzendruber, 91, of Pigeon, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Rose Garden Assisted Living in Pigeon.
Arlene was born March 17, 1929 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the tenth of eleven children born to the late Aaron and Pearl (Esch) Nofzinger. She married L. James Swartzendruber on December 6, 1947; he preceded her in death on May 24, 2006. She enjoyed traveling, visiting with family and quilting. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Arlene is survived by her children Randy of Pigeon, Lori (Sam) Funk of Pigeon and Lisa (Jim Hubbert) Swartzendruber of Rochester Hills; grandchildren Jennifer, Lance, Rachel, Mindy, Kelly, Adena, Kayti, Jay, Christa, Jeromy, Samantha, and Nicole; great-grandchildren Levi, Albree, Alyssa, Taylor, Evan, Dylon, Logan, Kayden, Addyson, Grayson, George, Anna, Malachi, Conner, Ayreanna, Rick Jr., Nevaeh, Sally, Brandon, Kayleigh, and Karissa; great-great-granddaughter Luna. She was preceded in death by all 10 of her siblings.
Private funeral services will be at Salem United Methodist with Rev. J. Albert Barshue officiating. Burial will be in Grand Lawn Cemetery. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
