Arleta E. Quick of Caro, age 78, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Arleta was born April 22, 1942 in Detroit, the daughter of the late John and Lydia (Stecker) Henschel. Charles Barrigar became father to Arleta following the unexpected death of her father, John. Arleta and Allen Quick were united in marriage on January 14, 1961 in Caro. She retired from Tuscola County District Court in 1992 following many years of service. Arleta loved spending time with her family and her many pets. Arleta is survived by her husband of sixty years, Allen; two sons and their spouses, Tony & Michelle, Mitchell & Jodi Quick of Caro; two granddaughters and their spouses, Brittney & Andrew Hiser, Nicole & Chad Bennett; two step-grandchildren and their spouses, Joe & Lisa Fulton and Kayla & Josh Downing; sister-in-law, Mary Margaret "Midge" & Dale Hall of Caro; special cousin, Paula Pelts; and very dearest friend, Karen Sonquist. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Charles and Lydia Barrigar; brother, Douglas Henschel; step-grandson, Navyman Kody Serges; brother-in-law, Thomas Quick; three sisters-in-law, Susan Schell, Ruth Ann Karakas and Eileen Ives; and special cousins, Carol Smith and Bonnie Odette. In keeping with Arleta's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering is being planned for a later time. Memorial contributions in Arleta's name may be made to Cass River Pet FriendZ, PO Box 513, Caro, MI 48723. The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro.
